MARCH 16, 2008 Schooling Show
The morning started out cold but it quickly warmed up for a very enjoyable day. We were sad that many of our riders from Bakersfield could not make it over the snow covered Grapevine and several riders got the flu. FSEC would like to thank those riders very much, because even though they had to cancel they all sent $25.00 per rider to help support FSEC. The riders who braved the early morning cold weather were rewarded with a great day and a view of snow capped mountains. We had riders from the age of 6 to 50 and again had experienced horses to very green horses. Several of our riders are barrel racers and they tried their riding skills with this English jumping stuff.  Let just say WOW, these riders surprised us all and several of them took home a beautiful blue ribbon. Our walk trot kids did great as they stayed brave and on course when several horses decided to go for a little run by themselves. We had a special treat when I Believe In Yesterday Photography showed up and took incredible photo's throughout the day. Thank you to all our volunteers, we are very sad that Grand mom and Grand dad Sarvis are heading back to Ohio so this was the last show for this year they will be at. We will truly miss them both and hope they will come back next year to stay with us again.  Our shows won't be the same without them.

MAY 10th Schooling Show
We had another great show! We had a group of new riders to Fire Storm Equestrian Center along with our riders who have participated in all our shows. Participants drove from Bakersfield and Tehachapi to compete with us this weekend. The weather was cool in the morning but warmed up nicely through the day. The food pavilion was again a great hit and our cook (my aunt Freddie) could hardly keep up. After the show we had several riders stay and practice in the cross country course and through the water. We have scheduled an open schooling day on the Fire Storm Equestrian grounds, it will be June 22 from 4 - 7 pm after the miniature horse show. The cost will be $30.00 per rider and we ask that you pre sign up so we know how many riders will be attending. The food pavilion will remain open until  5:30 pm  for any rider who wish to  have  BBQ dinner and drinks. Remember to put our upcoming July 20th schooling horse show on your calender. It was a pleasure having all of you attending and we hope to see at our next show.
