April 20th, 2008 was a great new start to our miniature horse schooling shows. Several months ago we received a call from a 13 year old girl asking about miniature horse shows and how she wished there was a local place to show her minis. With our help and Laura's drive to have a mini show Fire Storm Equestrian Center hosted it's first miniature horse schooling show. We had handlers and miniatures from all ages which enjoyed the facilities relaxing atmosphere. Classes ranged from halter, trail, jumping, liberty and carting but it seemed that the classes that everyone had the best time in was the Chase Me Charlie class. These minis were jumping higher than most large horses. The winner of the Chase Me Charlie was Jamie with Johnny Be Goode with an amazing 3'3" jump (WOW). Remember that most of these minis couldn't see over the pole and had to look up to jump over. Jamie, Alexia, and Alana were our Grand Champions and Reserve Champions for the jumping, halter, and all day high point. Karen was our handler with the most heart, despite her medical conditions she was a trooper. Karen was afraid that she would fall for sure but she didn't! Because of the great success of this show we have scheduled another miniature horse schooling show on June 22, 2008. We hope to see you and your minis!!!!! Remember your mini doesn't just have to be a yard ornament, come out and meet more wonderful mini horse people and bring home ribbons that are larger than your mini :) THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED MAKE THIS SHOW A GREAT SUCCESS!!! We took over 500 pictures and have CD's for sale for $20.00 each - Below are just a few pictures from this show.
